IICD-supported project: APCOB: Intercultural Education - An Innovative Experience

NGOs and indigenous organisations in Bolivia have developed a large amount of ethnographic material which contain important indigenous knowledge about culture and economic practises in Bolivia. These materials are available in writing, audio, photo and video. However, these materials are both difficult to preserve. From an educational perspective, it is almost impossible to present and distribute them in an cohesive, integrated way. APCOB noticed that If nothing was done to compile and protect these materials, valuable indigenous knowledge and culture would disappear, most likely forever. This film details the use of ICT and multimedia tools to help preserve and promote the dissemination of ethnographic materials in the classrooms of schools across Bolivia.
