Document Actions

Countries: Romania [RO]
Sectors: education
image: project in state 4

Summary

As part of this IICD-supported project, schools in Romania will become familiar with new forms of learning, transforming themselves into knowledge centres, for the benefit of local communities. This is a five-year process involving expansion of the project in Romania and long-term sustainability. The ongoing activities during the formulation and first phase of this project have been sponsored, for one year, by the ING group . Other sponsors are the Muvos Foundation and the Noaber Foundation.

Development Impacts

The project targets improved education in Romania, enriched by ICTs and new ways of learning, providing those skills that enable a country to participate in the Information Society. The expected impact is the strengthening and development of applicable ICT skills with students, the creation of critical thinking skills, and the improvement of teamwork. All of these with a view to preparing the students for professional life and enhancing their chances in the labor market.
