Joining with other organisations is the only feasible way for us to
fulfil our mission of supporting ICT-enabled development programmes.
Consequently, we work with a wide variety of local partners. Responding
to real local demands, our partners devise and implement suitable
ICT-enabled development and poverty-reducing measures.
Local partners are at the heart of IICD, and are the owners of the
IICD supported activities. The lion’s share of our efforts goes towards
helping them realise their development goals and objectives. They work
at project, programme and policy-making levels. Our local partners have
various backgrounds: grassroots, non-profit, government and private. We
strengthen the ability of these partners to understand and apply ICT

Behind these local partners, various enabling partners share
expertise and contribute financial resources to help ensure that local
activities are sustainable. These enabling partners come from the
private, public and non-profit sectors, and include our international
partners. Partners like DFID, DGIS, SDC, Hivos, PSO or Cordaid finance
projects formulated by local partners. Partners like Bellanet, SDC and
GKP contribute expertise and/or resources via thematic networks; they
also jointly develop and deliver certain knowledge products. Read more
