So why not meet up regularly through a single online platform to share experiences, technical know-how and resources?
        <dc:publisher>No publisher</dc:publisher>
        <dc:rights></dc:rights>
        <dc:type>News Item</dc:type>

The workshop is part of a wider pilot project to help African policymakers systematically plan and develop ICT policy implementation processes with the help of two information management tools often used by the private sector in the West: the Balanced Scorecard and COBIT (the Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology).
        <dc:publisher>No publisher</dc:publisher>
        <dc:rights></dc:rights>
        <dc:type>News Item</dc:type>

To help these EFLs improve their services and become more efficient, IICD worked with three local organisations - the Fundación SEDAL, the cooperative Acción Rural and the Red Financiera Rural – to set up the SERVIR Regional Credit Evaluation Service. The goal is to boost the region’s economy by increasing the efficiency of the EFLs on the one hand while reducing the amount of debt incurred by individual smallholders on the other.
        <dc:publisher>No publisher</dc:publisher>
        <dc:rights></dc:rights>
        <dc:type>News Item</dc:type>

In 2005, the Social Enterprise Foundation of West Africa (SEND), which began the project, signed an agreement with IICD, in collaboration with Cordaid, for a two-year project to develop a market information facility to serve 24 community-based farming cooperatives. Today, the project is focussing on developing the capacity and efficiency of the farmers through the deployment and use of mobile phones.
        <dc:publisher>No publisher</dc:publisher>
        <dc:rights></dc:rights>
        <dc:type>News Item</dc:type>

With the full support of the Ministry of Education, IICD and its local partners have worked steadfastly for the last nine years in Tanzania to find innovative, cost-effective ways in which ICT can have a sustainable, far-reaching impact on the education sector.
