Ken Kubuga of CITRED, Ghana reports on his participation in the Africa Source II workshop. “How can Free and Open Source Software be integrated into the project work of NGOs?”

Africa Source II was an eight day hands-on workshop aimed at building the technical skills of those working with and within NGOs on the continent. The main objective of the workshop was to take a look at how technology, in particular Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), can be integrated into the project work of NGO's. However, unlike most workshops, the objectives and expected outcomes for the gathering were allowed to flow around the specific objectives of the participants present. As part of IICD’s expertise development support, IICD financed Ken Kubuga’s participation in this workshop.
