Two information networking partners in Uganda win recognition awards given out by the Uganda Communications Commission.

Both Women of Uganda Network (WOUGNET) and I-Network Uganda, two partners of IICD, were recognized for their work in ICT Advocacy. The awards were part of the activities to mark the 5th anniversary of the UCC. Guest of Honor at the ceremony was Hon. Werikhe, Minister of State (Communications), Ministry of Works, Housing and Communications. Also present were a number of MPs on the parliamentary committee for Works, Housing and Communications.
