IICD to Join Global Knowledge Partnership Executive Committee

IICD has been elected as one of the five organisations to join the Global Knowledge Partnership Executive Committee (GKP). GKP is a network of organisations promoting innovation and advancement in Knowledge and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for Development.

In the election IICD received the most votes of the GKP members (17), followed by the intergovernmental organisation Commonwealth of Learning. As an executive committee member, IICD will be co-responsible for:


•    establishing and dissolving working committees
•    endorsing GKP programmes and activities on the basis of the approved overall strategy and policy framework
•    overseeing programme implementation.
