While ICT for development represents the central theme of our work, it is the people who are the key to our success.

During the last ten years, ICT has assumed an increasingly important role in international development efforts. IICD was part of this and was able to collect a lot of experience with more than 130 projects on the ground, 11 policymaking processes at the national or sector level, and various knowledge sharing activities. More than 5,000 people participated in over 120 seminars and training courses related to the projects and we estimate that our programmes have reached over 200,000 end-users directly and 2,500,000 end-users indirectly, the majority of whom live in rural areas.

If there is one thing that we have learned over the last ten years it is that while ICT for development represents the central theme of our work, it is people who are the key to our success. In the coming years we hope to build upon our existing expertise and achieve an even greater impact in developing countries for the benefit of the people living there.

We would therefore like to enter this new era with a new visual identity that expresses our experience from the past: development work is all about people and partnerships. Together we can make it work!
