The Ebrain Forum of Zambia in partnership with One World Africa began a process earlier in the year to come up with a Civil Society input to the Government's ICT Policy Implementation Strategy.

Official handover of the ICT Policy implementation strategy compiled by Twisema Muyoya on behalf of Ebrain and One World to the Permanent Secretary, Brigadier Peter Tembo, at Ministry of Communications & Transport on Friday 26th October, 2007.The eBrain Forum of Zambia is an IICD supported national knowledge-sharing community on the use of ICTs to foster social and economic development.

The process began with an online discussion forum which was moderated by Mr. Noyoo Wamupu of ZAA-ICT. The report from the online discussion was then used as a major input to the one day policy strategy seminar held at Cresta golf view hotel on the 9th of August, 2007.

A consultant was engaged to receive all submissions from the seminar and to compile a comprehensive strategy document to be submitted to the governemnt of Zambia through the Ministry of Communications & Transport.

On Friday 26th October, 2007, the Programmes & Information Officer, Mr. Sebastian Musonda together with the Ebrain Publicity Chairperson, Ms. Jane Simwinga presented the document which represented not only the civil society input but also the private sector as well as general public to the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry.
