For the first time, African schoolnet practitioners have been involved in the grassroots application of ICTs in schools, engaged with policymaker counterparts from several Ministries of Education.

Together with partners, IICD supported and co-organised a workshop on ICTs in African Schools in Gaborone, Botswana from 27 April to 2 May. Participants discussed experiences, shared ideas, and explored policy implications. This event represents a milestone in the history of school networking in Africa.
