National Knowledge Sharing
Document Actions

As part of our strategy to strengthen local initiatives in the countries where IICD is active, we support the creation and operation of National ICT for Development (ICT4D) Networks. These networks bring our partners together with other interested parties in a 'community of interest'.

Participants of the itrainers community of practiceActivities undertaken by the networks include arranging meetings, producing newsletters, stimulating local research, training, and generating and sharing lessons learned. The networks also maintain a local ICT4D website and use the Dgroups online platform as an extension to their face-to-face activities. The networks share and learn as a community, but also bring ICT for development to the attention of both the general public and policymakers.
