IICD @ Afrikadag 2009
Pack your old bag and let us take you back to school. However, you can leave your pen and paper behind because you are virtually connected to your classmates from all over the world.
At this year’s Afrikadag, IICD will focus on presenting the Global Teenager Project (GTP) as an example of a very successful project that shows that Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is a meaningful and powerful tool for development.
We invite you to find out what it’s like to experience e-learning in a cross-cultural classroom. You will even get the opportunity to be part of a live chat with students from West Africa Senior High School in Adenta, Ghana. They are eager to share their stories about their life in Africa with you. What are your hopes, your dreams, what is hot news at the moment? All statements and pictures can be checked online at any time, anywhere.
Come and visit us at the Haagse Hogeschool where you can
- Talk to students from Ghana online at our stand
- Experience the e-learning project in a workshop
- Hang out at the global connection lounge
- Participate in a lively discussion on our big screen
- Check out your statement and picture online after the event
Afrikadag is held at the Haagse Hogeschool in The Hague on April 25 from 9:30 am to 6 pm. The Global Teenager workshop will be held from 2.30 pm until 4 pm. You can find our stand in the Media corner.
