Government Officials Visit Hospital Computerised System in Tanzania
Arusha government officials attended a one-day workshop held by IICD's project partners in Tanzania to learn more about the computerised Health Management Information System (HMIS). Participants were excited to see how the system simplifies work.

Dutch IT company Inter Access has helped IICD partner ACDEP in Ghana centralise its digital information, so all their PCs can access the same content. More professional data management helps ACDEP work more efficiently, and protects the information against loss.
Ecuadorian NGO uses Low-cost Digital Whiteboard
The Ecuadorian organisation CEDEP created a digital whiteboard for under 100 US Dollars. The whiteboard will be used as an interactive tool for trainings and presentations. The board was made by using a Nintendo Wii game console controller and an infrared pen.
Ghanaian Teachers Discuss Computer Use at ICT Forum
Teachers and students from several educational facilities in Ghana’s Northern Region came together in Tamale for an educational ICT forum. At the forum they shared their ideas on Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The event was co-funded by IICD.

National Networks in Ghana and Zambia Trained in Video Production
Video workshops in Ghana and Zambia taught members of their national ICT4D networks to produce, film and edit basic videos to promote the activities of their network. On three different locations 48 people were trained in May and June.

Sahel Solidarité, IICD’s water and sanitation partner in Burkina Faso, set up an internet calling centre where people can contact their relatives abroad. The centre also trains Burkinabe people living abroad how to use Skype.
